Finally made the decision to proceed with the electric rudder trim and ordered the Ray Allen T2-7A servo kit, 50′ of 11-01579 wire teflon insulation (26 gage – 5 wire), some 11-04275 black expandable sleeve (also in various diameters), and some 05-00677 grommet edging (also in various diameters) form Aircraft Spruce. When Vans opens up on Monday I will order the VA-195C Access Hatch, VA-195D Hatch Cover, K1000-6 nut plates, C/sunk AN507-6R screws, hinge AN257-P3x24, and ES-00301 stand offs. The stand offs are not listed on the website so you have to call them in. I spoke with Vic Syracuse earlier in the day and he advised that the soft aluminum hinge was adequate and lighweight. Still deciding if I will run conduit or zip tie the 5 wire cable to the rudder.
