Brief Description:
Spent an hour with Karrie deciding how the conduit would run through the VS inspar and nose ribs as well as understanding the riveting order for the skeleton to the VS skin to ensure the conduit would not interfere with the “ease” of riveting. I am planning on installing a bullet camera in the VS-1009 fairing to get some great in-flight video so there will be a 5/8″ Vans supplied conduit running though the nose ribs as well as one running through the inspar ribs for the VOR antenna. I was wondering how the holes in the HS and fuselage would allow the conduit to enter the fuselage so I took a close look at pages 11-5, 11-6, and 11-10. It looks like the two holes in the fuselage in front of the leading spar in the HS will allow the nose rib’s conduit entry into the fuselage and the single hole located between the HS spars will allow entry of the inspar conduit.
